Sustainability Report of ABC-ATEC has been certified by a third party
ABC-ATEC Electronics Group publishes 2020 Sustainability Report, which is the first sustainability report of ABC-ATEC, and has been certified by a third party, SGS Taiwan. This report follows the GRI guidelines and AA1000 Assurance Standard (2008) Type 1, moderate level assurance issued by Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Through the publication of sustainability report, we disclose ESG indicators to demonstrate our efforts and emphasis on corporate social responsibility. Today (4), ABC-ATEC Electronics Group held a certificate awarding ceremony, in which SGS Senior Vice Chairman Mr. Huang Shih-Chung issued the third-party verification statement, and ABC-ATEC Chairman Joseph Hsu and President Francis Fan, Ph.D. accepted the certificate on behalf of the ABC-ATEC Group.
In recent years, ABC-ATEC has been committed to promote the belief of corporate social responsibility and continue to move toward sustainable management. In 2020, ABC-ATEC established the "CSR Management Committee" to actively promote sustainable development and continuous improvement, whether in corporate governance, environmental protection or social care, are self-imposed requirements; extending the concept of sustainable development to our supply partners to fulfill our commitment to corporate social responsibility. To pursue sustainable corporate development and connect with the world, ABC-ATEC has focused on the Earth's environmental protection acts. First of all, Taiwan headquarter formally introduced the "ISO 14064-1 Greenhouse Gas Inventory" program, and gradually planned to introduce greenhouse gas inventory operations in overseas subsidiaries, taking an important step in response to global climate change. In addition, in response to the need for EMI solutions, Taiwan H.Q. Building B for Metal Powder Granulator Process, which is expected to be completed in the Q4 of this year, is especially built with a recycling mechanism to facilitate waste recycling and wastewater recovery and reuse, further "turning waste into treasure" and creating a "zero-waste, zero-pollution" industrial model. This year, the construction of the Building C expansion plant has been evaluated by the EEWH-GF green building nine indicators system, and we plan to obtain the green building certification; to implement the concept of environmental protection, energy saving and carbon reduction, ABC-ATEC will make efforts to protect the global environment for our next generation.
We ABC-ATEC are honored to be recognized through this verification, and will continue to strive for improvement and self-imposed requirements in the future, calling on all employees to participate in achieving the goal of corporate social responsibility; as well as focus on the needs of each stakeholder, together with investors and the public to fulfill the commitment and philosophy of corporate social responsibility, and contribute to the realization of sustainable development.
