Chairman Hsu was invited to have a speech at 2021 ICBA, NTPU
Chairman Hsu was invited as a sponsor to attend the "2021 International Conference on Business Administration-Spring Session at NTPU" this morning and was the distinguished guest speaker. The participation of Chairman Hsu Ming-En and his wife, the Director & CSR Officer, Mrs. Terza C. Hsu, in this conference shows the importance that Chairman Hsu highly emphasis on the sustainable management of NTPU.
Chairman Hsu acknowledges the efforts of College of Business of NTPU in promoting corporate sustainability and university sustainable development. NTPU received “Corporate Sustainability Report (Platinum)” and "University Performance Award" from 2020 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA). The College of Business hosted the Conference of Paper Presentations at the 2020 Global Corporate Sustainability Forum (GCSF) and collaborated with Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy(TAISE) to publish the Taiwan Sustainability Value Index (TWSI); the College of Business has been re-accredited by AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and extended its accreditation membership for 5 years, demonstrating that "sustainability" has become a highlight of NTPU. Therefore, from 2019 onwards, Chairman Hsu continuously sponsor the Conference of Paper Presentations organized by the College of Business at the Global Corporate Sustainability Forum (GCSF). This year, Chairman Hsu promise Prof. Chi, Dean of the College of Business, and Prof. Chen, the Chair of the Department of Business Administration, to continuously support the sustainable development of NTPU and encourage the public to see the value of sustainable development in the university.
NTPU has signed a number of Industry-Academia Collaboration projects with ABC-ATEC, and is the most extensive university that ABC-ATEC has ever worked with. In addition to the flexible issue of supporting the sustainable development in social responsibility, the Industry-Academia Collaboration in technology development and application is a new era of technological innovation for ABC-ATEC. ABC-ATEC corporate with College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of NTPU to carry out Industry-Academia Collaboration in AOI, AI, and IM, with the goal of intelligent and automated factory, effectively utilizing industrial-academic research resources to enhance the academic research and practical operation of the industry.
In addition, Chairman Hsu looks forward to taking specific actions to realize our determination for sustainable development and continuous improvement, and to take care of the global environment while operating our business. First of all, Taiwan headquarter formally introduced the "ISO 14064-1 Greenhouse Gas Inventory" program, and gradually planned to introduce greenhouse gas inventory operations in overseas subsidiaries, taking an important step in response to global climate change. In addition, in order to ensure the transparency, credibility, commitment to customers/employees/ investors and sustainable development of the company, in September this year, ABC-ATEC will publish first Sustainability Report, which will be verified by a third party to ensure the integrity and correctness of the information in the report and to increase the confidence of the investing public and stakeholders in ABC’s operation. Taiwan H.Q. Building B for Metal Powder Granulator Process, which is expected to be completed in the middle of this year, is especially built with a recycling mechanism to facilitate waste recycling and wastewater recovery and reuse, further "turning waste into treasure" and creating a "zero-waste, zero-pollution" industrial model.
Finally, Chairman Hsu said, in the past 41 years, with the efforts of our team, we have been able to achieve a production scale of five factories in four countries and 11 AEPP partner factories. With the concerted efforts of all of us, we have achieved excellent product quality and customer trust, and are now further promoting automated production to enhance process stability and product excellence, and to move towards a world-class inductor production business. In this conference, Chairman Hsu thanks all 3,500 employees for their efforts; the commitment to 3,500 employees and 3,500 families is his driving force towards corporate sustainable development.
